A Special Course is a non-academic Moodle course that may be used for course development, resource sharing, collaboration, or other faculty and departmental needs.
Development Course (Sandbox)
A Development Course, also called a Sandbox course, is used to create, organize, and manage course materials before they are used in an active course.

Students are not enrolled in Development Courses.

Miscellaneous Course
A Miscellaneous Course is a flexible course type that may be used for a variety of non-academic purposes. A Miscellaneous Course can be defined by the faculty member or department based on instructional or organizational needs.
