Request new Virtual Private Network (VPN) access to establish a secure, remote connection to the ISU campus network. VPN access allows off-campus users to access university systems and resources as if they were physically on campus.
For example:
- A Professor might request VPN access for their students who will need to access an ISU resource to do research or homework assignments while they are not on campus.
- A staff member works remotely and will need VPN access to reach ISU resources.
- A faculty member might be traveling for a conference and need to access ISU resources while they are away.
ISU VPN is NOT for:
-
A user who wants to obfuscate their traffic and browse anonymously. All VPN traffic is routed through ISU’s network and is subject to inspection.
-
A user who wants to download materials using a tool or service that is illegal.
Notes:
-
The
IP address of your device must be provided with your request.
-
This form is intended for requesting new VPN access only.
-
Student Access: VPN access is generally available to ISU faculty and staff. Students may be granted temporary access if necessary, but a faculty or staff member must typically request it on their behalf.
