Installation Instructions
Note: You will need an email confirmation that access has been granted before installing the software.

Type your ISU User ID and Password

Verify your login with Duo

Notes:
- If you use a mobile device, DUO will send a push notification, but it may not appear on your screen—open DUO to accept the push.
- If you use a DUO token or passcode, add your six-digit code after your password, separated by a comma, before connecting.

Select Download Mac 32/64 bit, GlobalProtect agent

Find and run the GlobalProtect Installation Package in your downloads folder.

Click Next when the installation screen appears, and repeat until it asks you to install

Click the Install button

Type bengalgateway.isu.edu in the portal address

Type your ISU User ID and Password

Select Yes under User Account Control
Security permissions
If it doesn't prompt you to log in, you may need to go to Privacy & Security in your System Settings to allow GlobalProtect access.

Click the Apple icon in the top left

Select System Settings

Click Privacy & Security
-
Click Full Disk Access
- Click Allow to give full-disk access permission
Login Items & Extensions
In System Settings, navigate to the search bar and search for Login Items & Extensions.
- In the Login Items & Extensions menu, scroll down to Allow in the Background.
- Find Palo Alto Networks and click Allow
- Scroll down to Extensions and select the information icon on Network Extensions.
- Click Allow for GlobalProtect.app.
Disconnecting the VPN
Note: Always disconnect from the VPN when not working for Idaho State University.

Right-click GlobalProtect VPN icon

Select Disconnect
