Description
This article details how to find the MAC address of a device in multiple operating systems.
Instructions
Windows 11/10
(System Settings)
Click the
Start button
Click
Settings
Click
Network & Internet
in the window that opens
Windows 11
Click
Wi-Fi
or
Ethernet
Click
Hardware properties
Find the
Physical address
of the wireless or local area card
Windows 10
Find
View hardware and connection properties
Find the
Physical address
of the wireless or local area card
Windows 11/10/8 (CMD)
Click the
Start button
Type
cmd
Type
getmac /v
in the command window
Press
Enter
Find the
physical address
of the wireless or local area card
Mac OS X
Note
: Instructions may vary for different versions of OS X.
Click the
Apple Icon
in the menu bar
Select
System Preferences
Select
Network
Highlight
Airport
or
WiFi
from the list on the left
Click the
Advanced...
button
View the
Wi-Fi MAC Address
at the bottom of the window

Click the
Settings icon
on the Home screen
Tap
General
Tap
About
Scroll to the
Wi-Fi Address
Note:
This will be the Wi-Fi MAC address.
Android OS
Click the
Settings icon
on the Home screen
Tap
General
Tap

Scroll to the
Wi-Fi Address
Note:
This will be the Wi-Fi MAC address.
Playstation
PS5
Start up your PlayStation 5 without a disk in the drive.
On the home screen, click on the
settings icon (gear)
in the top-right corner.
Select
System
.
Under
System Software.
Select
Console Information
.
You will see the MAC addresses for
LAN cable
(Ethernet) and
Wi-Fi
.
Note
: Wi-Fi/Wireless connections will require
DeviceNet
to connect to the Internet.

Ethernet/Wired Internet connections do not require
DeviceNet
to get connected.
PS4
Arrow up and over to Settings in the PS4 menu.
Scroll down to Network.
Scroll down to View Connection Status.
The MAC Address will be listed next to MAC Address.

DeviceNet
to connect to the Internet.

Switch

Scroll down through the menu and select
Internet
.
The Nintendo Switch console's MAC address will be listed under
System MAC Address

Other Information

Confirm MAC Address.
Your system's
MAC Address
will be displayed on the screen
