Idaho State University offers multiple options to help you access, share, and store your information. The data type and security level required will determine the appropriate storage option.
  • Note: Personal media files, including photos and videos, should not be stored within Box, Google Drive, Panopto, or in the Research storage space.

Overview
Box is an online storage platform that provides secure file management and collaboration solutions for educational purposes.
Google Drive is for active files such as documents, sheets, and slides. Other storage solutions are recommended, as files count toward a user's total storage limit.
Panopto is a versatile platform that allows users to record, share, and stream ADA-compliant video content for educational purposes.
Research Data Storage offers a secure and easily accessible location for storing research data used by active ISU researchers.
Storage Limits and Access
Box access is granted automatically and provides secure storage for files and videos with a maximum file size limit of 50GB.
Google Drive is granted automatically. Go to the ITS Website to view storage limits. 
Panopto access is automatically granted and provides storage for class-related videos. Unused videos will be periodically archived.
Research Data Storage access can be requested by emailing hpcchelp@isu.edu with your PI or Sponsor's contact information.
