Description
Panopto is a video management system for capturing, storing, and sharing educational content. It allows faculty to record lectures, presentations, and training sessions on any device, with options for live streaming and on-demand playback. Features include video organization, search, and analytics, making it a powerful tool for teaching and learning.
With the Panopto LTI, videos can be embedded anywhere in ISU Canvas and played back on-demand on any computer, laptop, or mobile device. The Panopto activity enables an instructor to upload, record or choose videos in the Panopto video management system, and then embed those videos into a course.
In order to upload videos to Panopto, they will need to be downloaded from their original location onto your computer or drive.
How do I download videos from Moodle ISU?
- You may download each video individually, but if you have multiple videos you might consider doing a bulk download. To do so, select the course's More dropdown menu, then select Download center.
- Select the box next to each of the videos that you wish to download. Note: It may be easier to first select None at the top of the page since by default, everything every item in the course is selected. You may also want to click on Show type options and deselect the Assignments and any other types of resources that do not contain videos.
- Select the button at the bottom of the page to Create ZIP archive. The button will automatically download a ZIP file to wherever your browser downloads files by default.
- To see the items that were downloaded, extract or unzip all the items in the ZIP file. This will open the zipped files as a set of folders on your computer.
